Omega-3 fatty acids are present in a good amount in nuts. Even if the calorie conscious might think that nuts being rich in calories can increase their weight, they do not have to worry. Fats from nuts have a faster metabolic rate compared to saturated fat. A diet full of nuts does not necessarily increase your weight.

Almonds also have a high concentrate of oleic acid, the ingredient in olive oil known to be really effective against heart problems.     True or false? I was told that consuming large quantities of nuts and seeds was to natural food eaters what Prozac is to the rest of us…so?

    Prozac is used to treat depression, compulsive disorder, panic attack, Bulimia nervosa etc.

    However there is a ‘minimal’ chance of side effects like rash, diarrhea, orgasm restiction, and loss of appetite..Well, nuts do not have such problems. In fact, a handful of cashews can provide 1500 milligrams of Trypthophan which work as good as anti-depressants. So there, you go…
