Resistant Starch Foods

Resistant starches are thing that can be overlapped with soluble or ‘fermentable fiber’. Examples of resistant starches include semi ripe bananas, beans and brown rice. These are known to act in the large intestine where they re broke down into short chain fatty acids. Thesy have healthy effects beause they decrease appetite at later meals, improve insulin sensitivy, burn fat better, lower cholesterol and lead to improve calcium absorption and magnesium.
